Submitted my audition to Inanimate Insanity, I’ll be hearing back in a week or two with the results!
Working on my penguin podcast/news thing. Co-worker likes the name “Pengi Report”. Still open to name ideas though! I’ve got some neat little additions to the content I’ll feature, like cover songs, skits, and interviews. Can’t wait to get started on them! I’ll probably do one a month for now, then more frequently if requested.
Alright, I think I’ve decided to finish the next two projects in my AE rigs, then take a month to work on my 3D rigs and really dive in for the rest of the year. This should benefit me and I won’t lose too many assets I’ve been working on since I made them in Cinema4D to begin with (before importing them to AE).
I’ve been working with 2D for nearly a decade, and I’ve been learning 3D recently. My goal is to jump fully into 3D by the end of this year. Full 3D would let me bypass a bunch of buggy 3D features in After Effects, and I might be able to get work done more quickly but it’ll take another little while to set up the rig properly. If anyone has suggestions on if I should keep at my After Effects rigs for now or dive into 3D let me know.
Found a render service called RebusFarms which seems to be really useful for rendering. This solves the issue for now. I wish the GPU was more useful though.
Been watching these Cinema 4D tutorials all day, and I found a nifty tip called “Look At Camera” which I can use for Frigid’s hair as a 2D object interacting with the 3D model. This may be a door to many new ideas for my eventual 3D rig. Gotta keep myself in check though, can’t spend all my time improving and none producing…
