Finally, the big class update! Now the game can really begin!
Class Changing
Viewers can change Pengi’s class to Knight, Archer, Mage, and Thief. Certain random enemies can only be defeated by specific classes. It’s up to the viewers to keep the grind going with class changing via the chat commands !class_knight, !class_archer, !class_mage, and !class_thief. Thief is a neutral class which grants 2x coins on defeating the enemy.
Class-only Enemies
There are 3 new enemies: Shieldbun, Phantombun, and Targetbun. Shieldbun can only be defeated by Knight, Phantombun by Mage, and Targetbun by Archer. The specified class will be displayed to help aid the players.
$Donation Bonus$
For every $1 donated during the stream, Pengi will be granted 100 coins.

#Enemy Counter#
Finally we got a goal! No more hoards of cash, this week we’re going for most enemies killed! (Cash is still good though!) This has been on the radar since conception, and was super easy to make x.x Sorry it took so long~

v.0.4 will have Walking and Enemy Encounters. The God Mode shop will be in v.0.4.1. Still working on the price and duration specs.
Currently working on new backgrounds and the class-change effect.
I have a few other tricks up my sleeve for this patch, like a daylight changer (starts at morning at the beginning of each stream, and ends at nighttime when the stream ends). Also will be working on the walking system for this update. The new store will be in v.0.4.2
Pengi RPG v.0.4 Patch Notes
Got a lot done this weekend, and here’s what it was:
→Walking→
Enemies will now spawn about 5~20 seconds after the previous one was defeated. This will make chests and coins in general more rare. I’ll be adding in new shop items later on to help boost the coin rates.
Shop items have also been reduced in price: !boost is now 15c and !smite is now !30c
$Bait - Shop Item$
Close the distance between enemies with the Bait item. Type !bait to purchase it for 15c at anytime at the shop. Has a 3-min duration.

A little quality enhancement, but it feels more powerful to switch classes.
☼Day/Night Cycle☼
During the course of the stream (from 10am to 1pm), the time of day will progress from morning to noon to dusk to twilight.

Area Changes: Depending on the day of the week, Pengi will find himself in different areas to explore and train in. For example, Monday would be in the icy mountains and encounter Snowbuns and SnowJos, while on Tuesday he would be on the beach fighting off crabs and land sharks.
Special Shop: Also in the pipeline is the Traveling Saleswitch, who will appear randomly if we have enough coins to buy her items. She’ll sell special items only purchasable during her visits, like God Mode potion which allows Pengi to attack any enemy regardless of his class.
Miniguin Helper Game: Viewers will be able to play a new game to gather coins while the stream is offline. When a stream is live, you’ll be able to deposit the coins you gathered offline to Pengi’s bank with your name and character displayed on-stream for a short time.
- New shop that appears, you can buy Holy Grail for 50 coins when she appears.
Holy Grail
- New item (!grail). Costs 50 coins. Allows Pengi to be any class and deal damage to all enemies for 5 minutes.
Item Rework: Storm
- (!storm) Costs 30 coins. Replaces Smite. Creates a looming storm above the enemy which strikes for 50% of its total HP. Lasts for 3 enemies.

The Saleswitch appears randomly if you have over 50 coins stored up. She has a special store that you can only buy from when she’s on screen. Currently the only item is Holy Grail.
$Holy Grail - Special Shop Item$
(!grail) Can only be bought from the Saleswitch. It costs 50 coins. For the next 5 Special Defense enemies, you will not have to switch Pengi’s class and still deal full damage.

Pengi is granted a stack of Holy Grail automatically for each $1 donated through StreamDonate. This is in addition to the 25 coins per $1 already granted.

Three new items included in this patch to be purchased with Revlo points. Each 1-minute watching the stream adds 1 Point to your individual bank. You can buy in-stream features, or these items with your stash!
$ Speed Boost - Revlo $
(!speed redeem) Revlo shop item for 50 points. Allows Pengi to attack twice as fast for 3 minutes.
⚔ Excalibur - Revlo ⚔
(!excalibur redeem) Revlo shop item for 200 points. When the next boss appears, Excalibur will be used automatically and strike the boss for 30% of its total HP.

Chains of Heaven - Revlo

(!chains redeem) Revlo shop item for 200 points. When the next boss appears, Chains of Heaven will activate and weaken the boss, granting Pengi increased damage by 1.5x for the rest of the boss fight.

Encountering a boss now initiates a 3-minute timer! Defeating the boss yields +15 coins and +20 Revlo points! Losing to the boss grants lower coins based on how much HP it has left, but defeating a boss quickly grants up to +3 Holy Grail stacks!

Coins from chests have a new maximum of +5 coins, compared to the previous +10 coins. This was to balance the new method of gaining coins by defeating the boss.

With the Twitch Affiliate application approved, viewers can now Cheer in the chat! Cheering automatically sends bits to Pengi RPG’s Bit Blaster weapon, which charges them up for double damage of what you put in (ex: 5 bits deals 10 damage). Bits deal 4x damage under the influence of Chains of Heaven, so save those bits for some boss-bashing!
