I’ve used Maya for 3D, but never used GMod for anything other than playing with BronyDanceParty one time.

And a few years before that, I used Blender very briefly for some 3D animations you can see here: http://fav.me/d1dwa4i

Dang, 2008… I’ve had this penguin for 6+ years!
