Weird Idea

What do you guys think about 7-15 second animation posts compared to a 2-minute alternative post? The shorter video posts would save me time and keep my interests up, plus I’d get more content out without large gaps of space (which never works in my favor, I usually give up on those). Would people get upset about the shorty McShortshort posts? Or do you think the Vine-style posting would be appropriate even on YouTube? Please let me know your thoughts on effective/constant video posting. This is new grounds for the animation industry (which is used to 2-5 minute shorts), so I hope this becomes a fad. Plus YouTube ad-rev for frequent posting~

  1. maurotehsilva answered: a vine type post like vinesauce? that’d be good, or a regular vine (6 - 10 second video), that’d be ok too.
  2. crunchy-snacks answered: You should try it out, if it works then it’ll work, if it doesn’t then at least you tried it.
  3. dormiens01 answered: I think it’d be fine if you stuck to the longer end of those 7-15 seconds. Gives a little more, while still being suitably short.

  5. askthenightguards answered: It’s your blog, but I say experiment!
  6. lost-void answered: As a fellow animator I’d say shorter anims would help with more content and not burnin out, with the odd longer one here and there.
  7. krager-vises answered: i think is good idea
  8. zedrin-maybe said: Basically, short animations do better to build an audience, but long ones are worth more.
  9. zedrin-maybe answered: short animations tend to be more lucrative, but long ones are better long-term.
