When did YOU start using Tumblr?
When did Mabinogi come into the picture for you?
Did you take part in the community or did you quietly watch from afar, or did you even know there was a Tumblr/Mabi community?

I’ve been with Mabinogi since Generation 2 in 2009, current level 3XXX. A lot has changed since then, mostly for the better! It’s been a fun trip seeing Mabinogi change so much over the years, expanding to Iria, Avon, and Belvast.
I’ve been on Tumblr since December 2011 with my pony blog Ask-FrigidDrift. I’ve recently hit over 7,000 followers on it and I can say I equally love Mabinogi and my art, sometimes both at the same time! I can say I’m more involved with the Tumblr community, but I’m thrilled to have my two loves meet for the first time!

There just aren’t enough good uses of blingee on the internet. Every Frigid Drift panel from now on will be made with blingee!
Pegasatyr Frigid Drift
Trying our new shading that I learned in some tutorials last night and today. I’ve invented the pegasatyr: winged satyr.
Well from my experience it’s best to use your own puppets, but the way I have mine set up, I use about 5 layers and a mask per eye.
The blink cycle takes 5 frames altogether:
This gives the blinks more motion than a 1-frame blink, but still quick enough to be passed off as natural.
The Obstructing Eyelids (Squinting) for top and bottom are each on their own layers for each eye, so 4 layers for eyelids and 10 for eyes. I recommend using a Folder for each eye.
You can tween the Shine, Iris, and Pupil layers by selecting them all at once and moving them together to save time by getting them lined up perfectly the first time. The White layer and White Mask layers are the same shape, so that the bounding box masks whatever isn’t touching the white section of the eyes (white skin is hard to show this).
I fear the day has come when i can honestly say the fandom is dying out. The hype of the show is nowhere near it used to be, and many well known bornies are retireing from the fandom. I knew one day this would come, but i hoped it wouldn’t be this soon.
