Penguin Potential

Anonymous asked: Do you have any personality archetypes that you're planning to play off of?

Haha, definitely! I’m basing my characters off different penguins, so I have a character for Emperor penguin, Blue Fairy penguin, Rockhopper penguin, and Galapagos penguin.

Anonymous asked: I'd try to add in some senses of conflict or something, or some goal maybe. It doesn't have to be super serious, it can still be fun / cute stuff, but conflict and misunderstandings can create some great situations to work in. Some more lighthearted examples might be rivalry, trying to fit in with a group, a character has absurdly unrealistic expectations, etc. Try to avoid relying on references as the most common humor element well.

Thanks for all this input! I’ll note everything down, and I also want to avoid using references for this series. I know Frigid relies on them a bit too much currently.

ask-frigiddrift asked: What will the show's format be like? Similar to Ask Frigid Drift? Also what genre?

The new show will be a comedy starring four human girls who behave like penguins: they wear penguin colors, enjoy swimming, and love seafood! The format will be similar to a 4-panel manga, with a very short beginning/middle/end/punch line. I want them to be the same length as AFD is currently, so I might have 4 short stories per episode with each story being about 30-seconds long. It won’t be question/answer format like AFD is, I want to try doing original stories, which will give this series more freedom.

Not April Fools Joke: I’m thinking about starting a new series alongside my Ask Frigid Drift series starring penguin girls. Send me an ask if you want to learn more about it. It also helps me organize my thoughts when people send asks, so that will also help me!
