ask-gear asked: Really? Well to be honest I kind of ran out of Fangasms when I talked to Laura but there is something I want to discuss. Would you ever think about critiquing someone? Not the "It look great keep it up" stuff I mean letting someone know what they did wrong and what they could improve on kind of thing.
I feel like most people have the ability to critique others, it’s not my soul duty. It’s called getting a second opinion, where others can see your mistakes more clearly than yourself. Early on, a lot of my art was critiqued by someone who wasn’t even an artist/designer. As they say, two heads are greater than one. It just depends if the person has time or not, and time is something I have very little of lately. Laura’s a nice person, but I feel slightly offended of what you said. Sometimes excessive honesty is best kept inside you, so think about what you say.

I’m not even a big name and I can understand why. I try making friends with some of the smaller name artists and some of my fans and it almost always results in them trying to give me ‘ideas’ for comics or pictures when I’m already backed up on things to do. The constant ‘you should draw our characters together’ gets annoying too.
So of course I’m going to want to talk to more of the ‘popular’ artists, because they don’t do that junk since they know how irritating it is.Pretty much.
It’s also not that I ignore anyone, it’s that I get a lot of messages a day. I can’t answer all of them.
I slightly agree with this, but I like chatting and playing with most of you guys! Having a slightly big name is a great way for people to find you if you’re not outgoing yourself… But I’m not a big fan of people who try to talk to me who have nothing to say aside from “Hello”. I understand your intentions and I’d like to meet you too, but please approach me with either fangasming or questions/comments about the blog. Something with meat in it I can chew on satisfyingly. I love the positive feedback and I’ll definitely take into consideration what you want me to improve on!
